ACT Overview
The ACT is now widely accepted by colleges and universities across the country, and it can be a great option for students interested in an alternative to the SAT I. As the ACT’s popularity has grown, we have made ACT test prep an increasingly central part of our private tutoring program here at CATES. Our tutors are experts in the ins and outs of the ACT, and have years of experience guiding students through the ACT test prep process, both in one-on-one tutoring and group classes.
Many of our students come to us with the same question: is the ACT the right fit for me? Often, students who struggle with the “trickiness” of the SAT prefer the ACT, as do more concrete thinkers. Additionally, the ACT appeals to students from the New York area who are looking for a way to stand out from the rest of the high-achieving, New York crowd, since the SAT still remains by far the most popular test for New York City students.
Students with competitive ACT test scores are at a major advantage as they apply to colleges, which is why many families choose to use CATES’ customized one on one tutoring program and our arsenal of expert private tutors to help students ACT test prep.
