You wouldn’t show up on game day without putting in some practice or walk onstage without some rehearsal, and test taking is no different. One of the most daunting aspects of standardized testing is the unfamiliarity factor. If you haven’t had much experience with standardized tests (and, except for the PSAT, and perhaps an ISEE or SHSAT, most students facing an SAT I haven’t), taking an unusually long test, at an unfamiliar school, on a Saturday morning, with a room full of strangers can really throw you off. Even something as seemingly simple as filling in answer sheet bubbles with a number two pencil takes some getting used to. In our experience, mock tests are the single most useful in developing your test-taking skills. That’s why CATES is happy to provide regular, full-length FREE Mock Tests to both clients and non-clients.

Now entering its sixth year, The Mock Test is a free experience open to any student taking a standardized test who wishes to improve his or her mental focus & test-taking stamina under real testing conditions. The exams are taken in a simulated testing center and are administered by a proctor. Students have the opportunity to take their exams in the company of other students, under the actual timing and corresponding break schedule of the real exams.

CATES invites you to sign up for a Free Mock Test. Whether you’re preparing for an SAT test, ACT test, LSAT, or any other test on our menu, we have real exams from the test makers. In addition to giving students valuable test-condition experience, for our clients, these tests help our tutors track their students’ progress, assess how well students are applying test-taking strategies and identify strengths and weaknesses. Following the test, whether you are a client of ours or not, one of our expert tutors will evaluate your performance, provide information about strengths and weaknesses, and recommend a personalized course of action to help you reach your testing goals.
