As graduates of the country's top special education and teacher training programs, every ENVISION Learning Specialist is professionally certified to work with students with learning differences.  All specialists must complete a rigorous interview, testing, and training process in order to join the ENVISION team.  Specialists undergo continuous professional development as successful, new test-taking techniques emerge in our practice and we innovate our approach to the material. 

With experience teaching at some of New York City's top private and public schools, our specialists are especially equipped to design an individualized program to meet every student's needs in all areas of standardized test prep and subject tutoring.  While some companies in the NYC area employ tutors who work with students with special needs, ENVISION's learning specialists are professionally licensed and trained to work with students across the broad range of the LD spectrum.  Methods used for their training consist of Orton-Gillingham reading techniques and semantic mapping, coupled with specific test-taking methods for vocabulary, reading comprehension, writing, grammar, mathematical reasoning and computing.
